”Romantic “Hot Tub” Date Night Ideas.
Valentines Day (or any other lets spice things up date) is just around the corner and you are stumped on how to make it a “special” day for your main squeeze. Why not let your hot tub be the setting for a romantic evening? Here are a few tips to make the hot tub a romantic setting.
A. Set the mood.
There is no better way to get excited about any event then to get an invitation. It also gets you excited to put some time aside for your loved one. It is a way to make it very special. You can be funny, corny, romantic or formal, just a way to make sure to reserve some time together. Here are a couple of examples…

B. Food
I suggest a very light and easy appetizer. Something such as fresh fruit, grape or strawberries maybe some cheese cubes. Something very easy that you can eat with a toothpick.

Recipe Type: fruit, appetizer, honeydew melon, mint, grapes
Prep Time: 10 min
Total Time: 10 minIngredients:
- Honeydew melon
- fresh mint leaves
- Green grapes
- toothpicks
Instruction:
Cut melon into ½-inch pieces, thread on toothpicks with mint leaves and grapes, serve on a platter.
C. Drinks
This is where you can have a lot of fun. Alcoholic or virgin all will be good. Keep it light and refreshing. You can always use your favorite drink but here is a couple of ideas.
Mojito
Ingredients
- 8 mint leaves, plus 1 mint sprig for garnish
- Ice
- 2 ounces white rum
- ¾ ounce fresh lime juice
- 1 ounce Simple Syrup
- ½ ounce chilled club soda
Instructions
In a cocktail shaker, muddle the mint leaves. Add ice and the rum, lime juice and Simple Syrup and shake well. Strain into an ice-filled collins glass, stir in the club soda and garnish with the mint sprig.
Rum Punch
Ingredients
- 80 mint leaves, torn or thinly sliced
- 8 ounces light rum
- 8 ounces aged rum
- 8 ounces fresh orange juice
- 8 ounces mango nectar or juice
- 4 ounces pineapple juice
- Ice
- 8 pineapple wedges
Instructions
In a pitcher, combine all of the ingredients except the ice and pineapple wedges and refrigerate until chilled, about 2 hours. Stir well and serve over ice in red wine glasses. Garnish each drink with a pineapple wedge.
D. Music
Music sets the tone for any romantic evening. Imagine the warm water swirling around you a refreshing drink in your hand and your favorite love song playing in the background. With everything just perfect your night will end on the right note guaranteed.

Essential oils can enhance our mood or emotional outlook as well as our physical well being. The aroma of the essential oil can stimulate the human brain to trigger a reaction supplying therapeutic benefits.Chamomile: relaxing, meditation. Use for insomnia, arthritis, and stress.Eucalyptus: stimulating. Use for arthritis, bronchitis, and sinusitis.Grapefruit: energizing, uplifting.Lavender: balancing, relaxing. F. Final Preparation
Hot Tub Temperature: If you are going to soak together in the tub for a half hour or more, consider keeping the temperature about 100 degrees, depending on outside air temp. Any hotter than this may cause overheating and cut the date night short!
Candles: Candles or low lighting can help set the mood.
Towels: Have them handy nearby.
Talking and Listening: Some of us unwind by talking. If that is the case with your partner, give them the gift of your undivided listening. Some of us unwind with quiet, just holding each other and listening to the tranquil silence of the star filled sky.
